About Materials
Color, dimension, texture and quality are key elements, essential to the appeal of our designs. We therefore carefully select and incorporate only the finest materials available.

What is 'Lampwork Glass'?
Lampworking is a centuries-old technique still used throughout the world and seen in many jewelry designs of today.

Patricia melts glass in an oxygen propane flame at temperatures in excess of 2000° F. Then they are individually torch-blown or kiln-fused and properly kiln-annealed for five hours or more. Annealing the beads makes them hard as rocks; durable for everyday wear with long lasting, heirloom quality.

Watch Patricia's Video demonstration:

Dichroic glass has multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which gives the glass dichroic optical properties. Multiple ultra-thin layers of different metals (gold, silver), metal oxides (titanium, chromium, aluminium, zirconium, magnesium) and silica are vaporized by an electron beam in a vacuum chamber. The coating that is created is very similar to a gemstone and, by careful control of thickness, different colors are obtained.

Silver-infused glass: There are essentially two types of silver glass: reducing and striking. 'Reducing' produces beautiful iridescence while 'striking' yields most of the color spectrum.

What is 'Wire-Sculpted' jewelry?
Wire sculpted jewelry is an art form dating back nearly 5,000 years that has recently taken its rightful place in the fine jewelry market. No glue or solder is used in the construction of the jewelry and the sculpting is done solely by strong fingers with the help of a few small hand-held tools. Because wire sculpted jewelry is completely hand-crafted, no piece can be replicated exactly which ensures the wearer a truly unique piece of jewelry.

Bali Sterling Silver
The distinctive styling of a Bali, Indonesian sterling bead are apparent by the intricate detail and high quality of their beads. Each bead is individually crafted by an extremely labor-intensive process requiring tremendous skill and patience. The Balinese silversmiths devote the same attentive care into each bead that they put into all aspects of their ceremonial life. Perhaps this is why we find the Balinese beads so irresistible. It’s not just a bead, but the reflection of a culture; the people, their perfectionism, and the devotion to their work which denotes each bead a work of art.

Hill Tribe Silver
Hill Tribes people are quickly becoming world-known for their incredibly skilled silversmiths.

Each of the Hill Tribe's beads is beautifully handcrafted out of a higher content silver, (usually .999 as opposed to .925), incorporating centuries-old techniques known only to the Hill Tribe's people, which makes their work distinctive to all other. Quite often the beads will be engraved with flowers, plants, animals and shapes significant to their culture and beliefs.

A gentle people, the Hill Tribes are grateful for the trade of their handcrafted silver pieces. Purchasing their masterpieces of silver art helps to aid in the preservation of their tribal culture and provides an alternative to growing opium, a traditional cash crop whereas the bulk of the world's opium is grown.

The stones we use
Many people are taken aback by the beauty of the gemstones and crystals we use in our designs. Be assured that all our precious & semi-precious gemstones, cabochons and beads, as well as crystal clusters, freshwater pearls, fossils and other non-traditional stones are GENUINE, unless otherwise specified.

Measuring Info
How to measure your wrist for a bracelet
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO ACCURATELY DETERMINE YOUR WRIST MEASUREMENT.

To determine your wrist measurement, simply measure your wrist around the widest part of the wrist bone with a soft flexible measuring tape. The tape should be wrapped around the bone and pulled snug, but not too tight. Measurements should be given in inches. Ex: 6-1/2".

From this measurement, the designer will add any additional length to the bracelet necessary for the clasp and will counter for the size of the beads in the design you have chosen.

Avoid Resizing Charges
As a courtesy to our customers, we offer to restring most bracelet and necklace designs should you desire a larger or smaller size on a complimentary basis at the time of the order. Once the order has been processed and shipped additional resizing is available for a nominal fee.

What if this is for a gift?
We highly recommend you borrow your friend's watch or bracelet and measure it for an approximate fit before you place an order. We understand that you may wish this to be a surprise, however please keep in mind that it takes the same amount of time to restring a design as it does to put it together the first time. Often, it takes longer if we have to re-design the piece in order to adjust for extra length.

Standard Resizing/Re-stringing Fees:
Bracelet, Single Strand: $15
Bracelet, Double Strand: $20
Bracelet, Triple Strand: $25

Necklace, Single and Double Strand: $1.50 per inch plus the cost of any additional materials.
